Join us as we walk Kaufman Mall and become Champions for foster care! This event is free and open to the public. We will have raffles & giveaways, food, and a children’s egg hunt!
There will also be local child placement agencies out there for those who are interested in learning more about ways they can help foster youth in need. Registration for the walk is down below!
Walk Itinerary:
10:00 AM - Arrival & Registration
First 150 receive T-Shirt & National Foster Care Month Ribbon
10:15 AM- Opening Remarks (Melvin Roy, Founder of Foster-U)
10:30 AM- Walk
10:45 AM- Closing Remarks (John Murray, Executive Director of Families First Of Virginia)
11:00 AM-12:00 PM- Easter Egg Hunt, Pen a Birthday Note, Local Child Placement Agency Information Tables
We will also be joined by Old Dominion’s Stomp & Shake Team, Blue Diamonds and we will have a special appearance from Big Blue!
(Parking is in 49th Street Garage Near Stadium)
The Rain Location for this event will be the Student Recreation Center (10 AM-12 PM)
